Library seeks feedback from residents via online survey

The Invermere Public Library recently launched an online community survey as a way to collect feedback from Columbia Valley residents.

“It is important for us to hear from the people that we provide services to,” said library director Nicole Pawlak.  “The responses that we collect will be used to help us make decisions about future programming and services that we offer at the library.”

The library will be reviewing its strategic plan in May of this year and the results of the survey will help to shape the library’s short term and long term goals.

“We are hoping that we will hear from not only our regular library users but also from people who don’t use the library very often, if at all,” explained Pawlak.  “We want to know why residents use the library or not, what people love about the library already, and what we can change to make library services even better.”

There are three ways to complete the short library survey.  It can be accessed online from a home computer at www.surveymonkey.com/s/invermerelibrarysurvey, in the library from one of the library computers, or by filling out a paper copy of the survey which is also available at the library.  “It shouldn’t take more than five minutes to complete the survey online.  We really hope to hear from everyone,” said Pawlak.

The link to the online survey will be live until May 10.
