About driving safely

1. The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure recently completed a Rural Highway Safety and Speed Review and will be implementing changes to improve safety and mobility on our highways.

2. New signing and line marking will be used to direct motorists in to the right most lane and to remind slower traffic to keep right.

3.  Two new wildlife detection systems will be piloted on Highway 3 between Cranbrook and Sparwood.  These systems identify large wildlife approaching the shoulder of the highway and trigger flashing lights to alert drivers.
