The City of Cranbrook is planning to amend its Five Year Financial Plan (2016 to 2020) Bylaw No. 3849, 2016.

The amendment proposes to change the funding source of the Motor Control Centre (MCC) Replacement project at the Spray Irrigation Site from borrowing to sewer fund accumulated surplus.

The proposed amendment will not result in any increase to sewer utility rates or parcel taxes. A draft of the proposed bylaw is available for public inspection at City Hall during regular office hours or you can review it on the city’s website.

Written submissions from the public will be considered by council at its regular council meeting on Monday, December 5.
