Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) April 18 to 6 a.m., April 25.
The detachment received 125 calls for service throughout that period.
Among the calls police handled:
Two Immediate Roadside Prohibitions issued (alcohol).
One collision / two hit and run – Person charged under the Motor Vehicle Act on both hit and run incidents.
Eleven Mental Health calls – four apprehended.
Two assault complaints: one domestic in nature resulted in arrest.
Four thefts reported: two shoplifting/ one internal theft/ one fuel theft.
One drug seizure (marijuana).
NOTE: If local residents haven’t noticed, Cranbrook RCMP Detachment has stepped up local traffic enforcement to help discourage/reducing poor driving behaviour, impaired driving, and increasing visibility.
