Located just outside of Fernie, Island Lake Lodge is renowned for its spectacular scenery, cuisine and high level of service.

This gem of the Canadian Rockies is now running at peak summer performance as of July 1.

Bear Lodge is now open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, offering a late afternoon lunch or early evening dinner.

While a backcountry skiing/snowboarding, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing paradise in the winter, Island Lake is a hiker and biker’s dream in the summer.

A number of trails – from easy, moderate, advanced and difficult – await hikers and bikers, who are well advised to bring along their cameras.

While the high alpine splendour of Island Lake Lodge makes for a great day away, it also offers beautiful accommodations at its four lodges, along with a variety of stay packages: Mountain Romance; Zoomers; Custom Fly-Fishing; and Custom Hiking packages.
