Bandits sweep Mariners in double-header
The Cranbrook Bandits swept the double-header against the Mission Valley Mariners (Polson, MT) in American Legion Baseball action Wednesday afternoon at Confederation Park.
In the first game the Bandits spotted the visitors a 5-0 lead before clawing their way back, tying the game at in third inning and then blowing it wide open with five runs in the fourth en route to 15-8 win.
In the second game, again the Bandits fell behind early 4-0 in the first inning before come back to seven runs in the first three innings, en route to a 9-7 win.
The Bandits improved to 13-12 on the season after the return of seven veterans who missed last weekend’s tournament in Libby.
The team now travels to Polson to play in the Firecracker 4th of July tournament.
