Have you ever thought about becoming a lifeguard or advancing your swimming skills?

If so, upcoming at the Sparwood Leisure Centre there will be Bronze Star lessons, starting Sept. 13 and running Tuesdays and Thursdays to October 13, from
 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Bronze Star is a Pre-Bronze Medallion training program and excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion.

In Bronze Star, participants develop problem solving and decision making skills as individuals and in partners. They develop Water Smart Confidence and basic lifesaving skills needed to be their own personal lifeguard. Pocket mask required.

Prerequisites: Ability to swim 400 m. Recommended 12 years and older.
