The Advanced Aerospace Course is a six-week summer camp which aims to increase the cadets’ passion for space science, space travel and astronomy. The cadets have the opportunity to participate in several exciting activities, such as rocket launches at the Airport, a Cosmodôme visit, a Canadian Space Agency visit, robots competition and simulations of a space mission while scuba diving.

It is a unique experience for cadets to participate in this national course, reuniting 60 deserving cadets from across the country. “I had so much fun this summer,” said Elkford resident Griffin proudly at the end of the course.

The Canadian Cadet Program is an organization, free of charge, for youth between 12 to 18 years old. It offers supervision, stimulating activities and solid tools, activities and guidance to prepare young people for their transition to adulthood. The summer camps allow cadets to practice what they have learned during the training year. Physical training, drill, marksmanship and music are all put forward, along with the specialties of each element. The CFTC East includes three courses: Advanced Aerospace Course, Glider Pilot Scholarship and Power Pilot Scholarship.
