Soggy Otter early bird registration approaching
Ready, set, SOAR! Don’t miss out on the early bird Registration deals! Early bird registration is on now until Sept. 19 and is $50 for adults and $30 for youth aged 13 – 18.
This exciting new fundraising event will be happening in the East Kootenay on Saturday October 15 at JimSmith Lake in Cranbrook. We invite East Kootenay residents to come paddle, run and bike with us, all in support of the Canadian Cancer Society!
The Soggy Otter Adventure Race (SOAR) features three great outdoor sports: kayaking, trail running, and mountain biking – with some fun surprises thrown in! The race is designed to be challenging yet fun for all ages and skill levels. You’ll be paddling around the lake, biking for 7-km, and running for 5-km (not necessarily in that order!) You can put together a team of three participants and do it Relay style, or challenge yourself to do it alone.
SOAR is a unique event – a great opportunity to keep active, team build with co-workers, spend the day with family and support the fight against cancer. Your registration goes towards the Canadian Cancer Society’s work in life saving research, cutting edge prevention efforts and practical and emotional support programs for local cancer patients and more.
Registration is open. To ensure this event happens and to avoid disappointment- get your team registered early! Registration forms can be picked up and dropped off at the Canadian Cancer Society office at 105 9th Avenue S, and can also be found on the 2016 Soggy Otter Facebook page for online download. Registration is also available online at Snapd East Kootenay’s website. Early bird registration is on now until Sept 19 and is $50 for adults and $30 for youth aged 13 – 18. After Sept 19 fees will increase to $70 for adults and $50 for youth.
Come have fun and SOAR with us on Saturday October 15. For more info [email protected]
