Unwin, Sidney Richard

In the early evening hours of Thursday, September 8, 2016, Sidney Richard Unwin passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital at the age of 88 years.  Sidney was born on August 5, 1928 in Victoria, BC to Albert and Lillian (Derbyshire) Unwin.

Sid loved the outdoors and spent many hours enjoying hunting, fishing and trapping.  He will be missed by all of us.

Sid is survived by his wife of 66 years, Luigia and his three children; Terry (Donna), Susan (Paul) and Stacey (Glen) as well as six lovely granddaughters and one great grandson.  Also left behind is Sid’s sister, Lil (Jim) Ratcliffe.  He was predeceased by his mother Lilian Erickson and step-father John Erickson as well as two brothers; Bob and Art and one sister, Ethel.

At Sid’s request, there will be no funeral service.
