About winter highway maintenance in the East Kootenay

1. In early November, two public sessions will be held to share information about plans to keep roads and bridges clear for commuters during winter.

2. As part of the new $16.7 million annual contract, an improved winter operation has been developed that will see larger, more efficient equipment utilized and the use of a ‘Snow Desk’ that can deploy equipment anywhere in the service area.

3. The sessions will be held in Cranbrook on November 1 at the Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort from 1 to 3 p.m. and in Fernie on November 2 at Park Place Lodge from 1 to 3 p.m.
