Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Nov. 14 to 6 a.m., Nov. 21.
Police handled 134 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
One impaired driver – alcohol.
Six collisions – one in town that resulted in minor injury and/or minor damage; five outside of town with the road conditions being a major factor in these collisions.
One hit and run incident – suspect identified and still under investigation.
Six Mental Health Act calls – one apprehended.
Three assault complaints: one domestic related incident/ one consensual fight/ one historical assault that occurred in August.
Six thefts reported: three shoplifting; one theft of a vehicle; one theft from vehicle – theft of license plate; two other thefts, including hotel room items and theft from a local thrift store.
Seven break and enters to businesses. Two persons have been arrested for break and enter; they are believed to be linked to the majority of these break and enters that occurred on the north side of the CPR tracks.
Two reports of property damage.
One drug seizure – marijuana.
Five false alarms/ false 911 complaints.
One person arrested for intoxication in public place.
