Margie passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, December 19, 2016 in Cranbrook, BC.

Mary Margaret was born on September 6, 1932 in Chatham, NB to Benjamin and Gladys (nee Dwyer) Duplessie.

Margie is survived by her devoted husband Peter of sixty-three years of marriage, her daughter Nadine Brown (William), her two sons Peter (Angela) and Michael Wonitowy, her grandchildren Cory and Shyanne Brown, Kristopher (Tayla) Wonitowy, her loving niece Sylvia (Robert) Duplessie and many other nieces and nephews. Margie was predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Gladys Duplessie and two brothers Walter and Herman Duplessie.

Margie was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. She was a “whipple warrier” and battled courageously with spirit of fortitude and faith. You were the love of our lives and our shining light. May your brave spirit carry on in us! Rest in peace.

“My God, I know this place. I am home.”

A funeral mass for Margie will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cranbrook (39 – 10th Avenue South) on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Margie’s interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery.
