RCMP seek help in locating witnesses to collision

Cranbrook RCMP is seeking assistance in locating the driver of a light blue coloured Jeep who may have knowledge of a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 3/93.

On December 20, around 2:30 p.m. on Hwy 3/93, about 10 km east of Cranbrook, the jeep was attempting to pass another vehicle and appeared to lose control and cross the centre line.

Witnesses advised the Jeep ended up fishtailing toward oncoming traffic. A blue Chevy Suburban, heading east, swerved to miss the jeep and ended up in the ditch after flipping multiple times. The occupants of the Suburban were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries. A second vehicle also went off the road but left the scene prior to police attendance.

Cranbrook RCMP are trying to locate the driver of the four-door Jeep, as well as the other vehicle that went off the roadway, to gather more information on this motor vehicle incident. If you were the driver of this jeep or have any information regarding this incident Cranbrook RCMP is requesting a call at 250-489-3471.
