City seeks to make paying utility accounts simple

The City of Cranbrook wants to keep things simple for residents and business owners to pay their utility accounts – by allowing you to set up pre-authorized payments or paying for the service in one lump sum at the beginning of the year. Your utility account covers water, sewer and garbage collection for your home or business.

Try the pre-authorized payment plan for your bi-monthly utility bill. This plan is convenient and avoids late payment fees. For those already on the pre-authorized payment plan, please note your bi-monthly payments amount will continue at the current utility rates. There is no change in 2017.

The bi-monthly payments are made through your bank by pre-authorized debits on the first day of every second month commencing February 1. Application forms are available for pick up at City Hall.

The city also offers a discount of five per cent on all utility accounts paid for 2017 if they are paid in full at City Hall on or before February 28.

For more information, please contact City Hall at 250-426-4211.
