It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, auntie and sister after a brief battle with cancer at East Kootenay Regional Hospital with her children by her side. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all those who held her close.

Mae was predeceased by her parents William and Frances McWhirter, her brother-in-law Hank Krewenchuk and brother-in-law Marty Harrison. She leaves behind to mourn her daughter Oline Jorgensen, son Brent (Lori) Jorgensen, grandchildren Jake Wills and Darby Jorgensen, Alix and Kyle Jorgensen, sisters Marg Krewenchuk, Skip Harrison, and Elena (Les) Zuffa, nephews Rich (Cathy) Krewenchuk, Don Harrison, and Colin (Erin) Harrison.

Mae spent most of her life taking care of others during her nursing career but enjoyed few things more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. No service will be held at this time and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
