A Bridge to awareness at Pop Price

It was a picture perfect winter day for the Cranbrook-Kimberley Winter Awareness Initiative on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Hosted by Bridge Interiors, the family-friendly event saw Pop Price Park turned into a winter outdoor wonderland, with tobogganing on a sweet manmade hill, skating on the Pop Price rink and mingling for chats and snacks with friends and neighbours.

Fire pits blazed for warmth and for marshmallows and smores; hot chocolate, hot dogs and hamburgers were available for a donation to the Cranbrook and Kimberley food banks.

People also delivered a host of non-perishable food donations.

Bridge Interiors owner Ken Bridge told e-KNOW he is still tallying the numbers and will provide an update, as well as a thank you to event sponsors and supporters, following the weekend.
