BC Hydro has recently completed a makeover at Steeples Substation in Cranbrook.

To improve the appearance of this high visibility substation in a residential area, BC Hydro removed the overgrown and dying cedars inside the fencing perimeter, which posed a potential safety risk. Three sides of the fence were clad in panels, trees along the exterior of the substation’s west side were pruned, and landscaping was added beside the sidewalk.
