Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) Oct. 9 to 6 a.m., Oct. 16.
Police handled 134 calls for service throughout this week.
Among the calls police handled…
Three impaired drivers: One criminal charge related to a domestic assault and collision. Two 90-day Roadside Prohibitions were issued.
Eight collisions – two in town (property damage and/or minor injuries were incurred).
One hit and run; the offending vehicle has been identified.
Nine Mental Health Act calls: one apprehended in assistance to East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
Four assault complaints; two involved minor injuries.
15 thefts reported including: eight shoplifting; one theft of an auto with the vehicle recovered shortly after without damage; four thefts from vehicle.
Two break and enters: one to a residence where the garage was entered but an alert neighbour chased the suspects off. And another to a local business where over $2,000 in liquor was stolen.
One drug seizure: marijuana
Seven false alarms / four false 911 complaints.
