Sparwood’s biggest community festival is fast approaching and this year’s festivities are going to have Vancouver-born Canadian country music star Aaron Pritchett performing Saturday, June 9 at the Sparwood Recreation Centre.

Local band Seany J and the Boys will be opening the show for the Juno award nominated Pritchett (Dirt Road In ‘Em; When A Momma’s Boy Meets A Daddy’s Girl).

Tickets are expected to go on sale June 1.

‘Coal Miners Day goal is to highlight all of the great amenities our community has to offer. It is a celebration that brings everyone together through safe / fun memory making experiences! Sparwood has amazing volunteers, groups and businesses who come together to make the second weekend of June not only a jam packed weekend but also raises funds and awareness for many other organizations in our area,” the Sparwood Coal Miner Days Society says of the annual event.
