Fun is already underway in Canal Flats as Canal Days began May 30.

However, things get really rocking this evening (May 31) and this weekend (June 2-3) around the village.

From 6 to 8 p.m. May 31 (this evening) is the Canal Days Amazing Race. Register with Angela Miller at: [email protected]

Also this evening at 7 p.m. is Canal Days Bingo, with plenty of cash to be won

Start Saturday, June 2 off with a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 .m. and take in the annual Canal Days parade at 11 a.m.

There is a classic car show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Baillie Grohman and Arbuckle Street, with a Burn out Pit at 5 p.m.

Columbia Valley favourites Marty & Eli will be performing between noon and 4 p.m., with the beverage garden running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The village will also be alive with a variety of events and tournaments, with the naming of the Citizen of the Year at 4:30 p.m., with all events taking place at or beside the Civic Centre.

The annual Canal Days dance will run from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with music by Mile High Club.

On Sunday, June 3, from noon to 4 p.m. is Boat Races at Tilley Memorial Park.
