Southeast District Traffic Services RCMP report that a 52-year-old Elk Valley man was killed in a Highway 3 crash near the Spray Irrigation fields east of Cranbrook yesterday afternoon.

At about 12:30 p.m. Oct. 1 RCMP, Cranbrook Rescue and BC Ambulance attended the crash that closed Highway 3 for several hours, with traffic detoured down the Wardner Fort Steele Road.

No other details are available at this time.
