Stanley Glacier Trail views changed
By Larry Halverson/Friends of Kootenay
Regular users of the Stanley Glacier Trail are in for a bit of a surprise this year. Blow-down from wild weather this spring has leveled much of the dead, standing pine forest, creating a more open environment with plenty of sun and views along the upper Vermilion Valley. Luckily for visitors, Kootenay National Park’s trail crews did a fantastic job of clearing the deadfall from the trail!
