Reports of multiple accidents in region

There are reports of accidents all over the East Kootenay this morning (Jan. 13).
DriveBC reports a vehicle incident between Yahk-Meadow Creek Road and Ryan Bridge (seven km east of Yahk). Single lane alternating traffic; no detour available. Expect delays.
There is another vehicle incident on Highway 3 about 10 km east of Elko in the rock cuts. Traffic is currently single lane alternating and a detour is not available. Expect delays.
There is also a report about a vehicle recovery on Highway 95A between Airport Access Road and Garry Rd. Traffic is single lane alternating; expect delays.

General highway conditions include the gamut of winter driving throughout the region, including blowing snow and limited visibility, heavy snowfall in some areas, slippery sections and compact snow.
Please drive safely and avoid the highways if you can.
