First Cranbrook Community Calendar on Sale September 10

Starting on Monday September 10, Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services will have their first Cranbrook Community Calendar available for sale.

The goal of the 16-month Cranbrook Community Calendar, developed in partnership with the Cranbrook Daily Townsman and Rocky Mountain Printers, is to raise funds and awareness for the British Columbia Professional Firefighters Burn Fund and help promote the local area. Photos for the calendar were selected through a contest earlier this year, where local individuals submitted their best photos that calendar coordinators felt well represented the area.

“I feel the calendar will showcase our area through the photographs, while promoting some of the local events and schedules that happen each year,” says Murray Robertson, local Burn Fund representative. “Not only will the calendar promote safety, it will also give purchasers an opportunity to win some great prizes from our local business community.”

Purchasers of the calendar will be asked to enter their calendar number, name, address and email on a special link on the City of Cranbrook website – www.cranbrook.ca. The website will generate random monthly winners who will receive some local monthly prizes.

Calendars are $10 each and only 1,500 copies are available. Calendars will be available for sale at the Cranbrook Fire Hall on 2nd Street South, the Daily Townsman, Rocky Mountain Printers, Cranbrook City Hall and the Leisure Services desk at Western Financial Place. Photos selected to grace the pages of the calendar will be on display at a special showing at the Cranbrook and District Arts Council (corner of 10th Avenue South and 2nd Street South) on Thursday, September 13 starting at 7 p.m.
