Ktunaxa Nation extends closure
Kiʔsuʔk Kyukyit everyone.
The B.C. government has formally extended the provincial state of emergency to support the province-wide response to the COVID-19 pandemic, through the end of the day on April 14.
The extension of the provincial state of emergency is based on recommendations from B.C.’s health and emergency management officials.
Given this news, and hearing reports from healthcare professionals around the world, the Ktunaxa Nation Council have decided to extend the closure of our main building and ask that staff who are working from home remain doing so until, tentatively, Friday, April 17.
If anything dramatically deviates from this date, we will ensure that another announcement comes out in a timely fashion.
With gratitude, we ask that the essential services staff who are still on the job on location (Scotty’s, Child and Family Services, Street Angel and the KNC Health Centre) continue as you have been, and please reach out to your manager for support as you need it. We know this is a challenging time.
