Team of local businesses join to donate vehicle

Van Horne Towing recently led an effort to provide a vehicle to the Ekklesia Millennium Society in Cranbrook.

“This is an amazing society that feeds people daily and also delivers to people who are unable to leave their home. Last year they fed over 48,000 and also have overnight shelters for homeless or people in transition,” a representative from Van Horne Towing noted in a message to e-KNOW.

The Ekklesia Millennium Society website notes it is a non-profit organization in Cranbrook that provides basic food-and-shelter support programs for those in need, thanks to a workforce that consists almost entirely of volunteers.

“At Ekklesia, we are focused on making the world around us a better place. Founded in 2007, our organization is recognized as a key contributor to the relief of poverty and homelessness in Cranbrook and surrounding area.”

Learning of the organizations need for donations, Van Horne Towing started working on a vehicle to donate to it.

Needing some help, the business asked Signal collision and Crystal Glass, Minute Muffler and Cranbrook Signs and “they all jumped on board,” the Van Horne representative reported.
