Benny MANGONE

On Thursday, February 18, 2021, our loving father and grandfather, Antonio “Benny” Mangone was called to his eternal rest at the age of 93 years. Benedetto Antonio Mangone was born in Castastellano, Italy on June 13, 1927 to parents Luigi and Rosina Mangone.

A gentle, caring, and amiable man, Benny gave selflessly of himself to his family, friends, and the community. Benny embraced his family with unconditional love, and enjoyed passing on his Italian heritage, sharing tales of the old country and memories of his years of experience while working in the coal mines of the Elk Valley. Benny’s memory will be forever cherished by all who loved him in return.

Benny will be remembered with love and affection by his children Gino (Valerie), Rose (Rick), and Sam (Joyce); grandchildren Trish, Tara (Tyler), Troy (Melissa), Vincenzo (Jill), Katelynn (Colter), Brendon (Sami), and great grandchildren Jelena, Roman, Karver, Paislen, Matteo, Emelia, Adelina, and Liam. Also left to mourn his passing are numerous nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.
