A great day for Kimberley, Cranbrook and United Way
On Saturday, Sept. 22 the cities of Cranbrook and Kimberley were brought together via the NorthStar Rails-to-Trail and the United Way’s Friendship Festival.
Pictured, City of Kimberley Acting Mayor Bev Middlebrook is on her last leg of the United Way Friendship Festival relay from Kimberley to Cranbrook. Bev passed the baton to City of Cranbrook Mayor Wayne Stetski, after receiving it at the Clocktower and walking down 10th with the group of relay racers, to Rotary Park where the mayor was waiting for the baton.
“It was a great day for Kimberley and Cranbrook and the United Way,” said Middlebrook.
Next year’s Friendship Festival will conclude in Kimberley, with the baton being relayed from Cranbrook.
