Am I the only person troubled by the difference between the federal government’s enthusiastic support of Ukrainian refugees and its evident indifference to Afghani refugees?

This, despite having promised the latter that Canada would support them; would bring them to Canada in numbers with their families?

To be clear, I support the government’s efforts for Ukrainians, but I am distressed by its evident abandonment of Afghanis.

People are suffering and dying in both cases – and Canada has an ethical obligation to Afghanis.
