Nikita Afonso opening for Tom Cochrane in November
Rarely can one find artists who continue to generate organic music and artistry despite our increasingly superficial world.
While many artists may be content to depend their career entirely on mainstream trends that are sure to garner views and traction, Nikita Afonso has made it her mission to create songs that provoke human emotion.
She has taken her love of country music and made it her own, incorporating modern components and inspirations from her favorite artists, Lennon Stella and Sasha Sloan, to name a few.
Like the world, Nikita’s artistry is continuously evolving, and yet, she maintains the quintessential elements of classic songwriting, moving listeners and putting music to emotions we have all felt and know. Her words and voice have enchanted audiences worldwide; the mesmerizing blend of pop and rock has allowed her opportunities to open for country star Paul Brandt, share the stage with the iconic Keith Urban, and awarded her countless accolades including winning Song of the Year at the 2020 IPMAs for her duet called I Don’t Think I’m Doing This Right.
Despite several international awards under her belt, Nikita’s career continues to transcend across genres, particularly with the release of her highly acclaimed singles, Holy, My Heart, Jokers and Dear You.
Nikita’s music is available on all major streaming platforms.
Tom Cochrane live with special guest Nikita Afonso November 7 at Cranbrook’s Key City Theatre and November 9 at the Bailey Theatre in Trail. The Cranbrook show is sold out.
