Cranbrook RCMP responded to 166 calls for service over the past week.

Of the 166 calls, 19 were mental health/check well-being calls, eight were false alarms and there were 16 suspicious person files.

RCMP also responded to 15 traffic related files, 12 disturbance calls and 10 incidents of mischief.

Late last night, Cranbrook RCMP was called to the 100-block of 8^th Avenue S for a report of a stabbing.  The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was arrested and is currently in custody pending a hearing before a judge.  Cranbrook RCMP is continuing the investigation.  File 2023-1257 refers.
