Kimberley to meet Princeton in Teck Cup finals
The Kimberley Dynamiters will be tangling with the Princeton Posse in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) Teck Cup finals.
Princeton earned passage to the finals with a heavy-hearted game six, 2-1 victory over the Revelstoke Grizzlies.
The Posse played the game shortly after learning assistant coach Morton Johnston had been killed in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday.
The team made the decision to play in Morton’s honour with the support and encouragement of his family, the KIJHL reported.
The series game schedule has yet to be determined.
