On May 10, at 7 a.m., Cranbrook RCMP received a report of a black 2021 Dodge Ram pickup stolen overnight from Innes Avenue.

At 8 a.m., police responded to a male passed out in a truck on 22nd Ave. It was quickly determined that this vehicle was the Dodge Ram stolen earlier in the morning.

Located in the driver’s seat was a male who was wanted on over six warrants of arrest, with in excess of 40 charges outstanding before the courts.

Cranbrook RCMP has recommended additional charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000, and four counts of Failing to Comply with an Order.

The accused has been remanded in custody pending a future court date.
