Firearms, cash and suspected drugs seized in traffic stop
A Cranbrook man remains in custody after firearms, cash and suspected drugs were seized after his vehicle was pulled over on December 27.
On Dec. 27, RCMP began an assault investigation involving a firearm. RCMP were able to locate the suspect and arrest him without incident.
“The officers involved continued the investigation and located the firearm believed to be used in the offence. Subsequent to the search, a large amount of money and suspected drugs were located,” said Cst. Katie Forgeron.
The BC Public Prosecution Service has approved charges of reckless discharge of a firearm, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
Thomas Andre Flury, a 36-year-old resident of Cranbrook, remains in custody. The investigation is continuing and more charges are anticipated.
