The Kootenay Children’s Festival is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all children and their families.

The main festival day this year will be on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Volunteering typically consists of helping set up, tear down, and/or operating one of the areas as needed, (face painting, bouncy houses, etc.). If you require any accommodations to participate, please let us know. Youth and families are welcome. Food and drink are provided.

Schedule:

Friday, May 10 – Youth and Family Dance events.

Saturday, May 11 – General Festival (Interactive installations, entertainment and more).

[3-4 p.m. – Main Headliner – All other activities shut down.]

The festival is absolutely free, and aims to ensure that every child has accessibility to everything within the festival grounds at Rotary Park. It’s a place to play, learn, meet old and new friends, build community, and most of all to celebrate childhood.
