Dating back to when fire departments used horse drawn equipment, it has been tradition for any new apparatus to be “pushed in” to the station the first time it enters service.

Sparwood Fire Rescue is proud to be receiving a brand new engine to replace one that is due for retirement.

We invite the community down to the station for a barbecue, Fire Smart information session, and to help push the new engine into the station on Tuesday, August 27 from 5-8 p.m. at Station #1, 479 Pine Avenue.
