Weather permitting, firefighters will be burning piles upstream from the Phillips Reservoir and adjacent to the Gold Creek Forest Service Road on Friday (March 14).

These treatments are part of the City of Cranbrook’s ongoing wildfire resilience work this spring to reduce wildfire risk in the city’s watershed and wildland-urban interface.

Smoke will be noticeable in the surrounding area while the piles are burned.
