Roar, beep, and… well, maybe just roll quietly! The Cranbrook Public Library is excited to announce the winners of its recent “Cartastic Naming Challenge”!

We asked you to unleash your creativity and give our hardworking library carts some memorable new identities, and oh boy, did you deliver!

After pouring over countless brilliant entries, a few names truly stood out and captured the unique personalities of our carts.

• Taking a bite out of overdue books, say hello to Cart-o-saurus Rex!
• Our most dependable helper, always ready to fetch information, is now officially known as Cartoo Deetoo (Cart 2 D 2)! Beep boop literature!
• And finally, for the cart that mysteriously seems to know exactly which book you didn’t want to put back… we introduce Lord Rolldemort! He Who Must Be Read.

“We were absolutely floored by the sheer volume and hilarious creativity of the names submitted,” said Ursula Brigl, Chief Librarian of the Cranbrook Public Library. “Cart-o-saurus Rex, Cartoo Deetoo, and Lord Rolldemort won the popular vote! Your imagination brought smiles to our faces and gave our tired carts some seriously cool new identities!”

The carts are now proudly rolling through the library stacks, ready to help staff and patrons alike. Keep an eye out for them on your next visit!
