Corbett OFFET

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, on October 3, 1962, to parents Gerald Paul Offet and Lorna Annette Hnatyshyn, Corbett grew into a man known for his compassion, generosity, and ability to connect with others.

Corbett was more than a son, brother, and friend—he was a father, a caregiver, a teacher, and a light in the lives of many who might otherwise have gone unseen.

He had a special gift for engaging with children, encouraging their growth, and finding joy in the smallest everyday moments. He especially cherished time spent drawing, coloring, and building Lego with his favorite little one, Santana.

Throughout his life, Corbett devoted himself to helping people and strengthening his community. He created space for those often overlooked or forgotten, always making others feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether fixing a computer, giving a ride, or lending a hand during hard times, he gave dignity and kindness freely. Those who knew him will remember his warmth, compassion, and unwavering generosity.

Corbett is survived by his daughter, Myriah, along with numerous cousins, relatives, and friends. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Lorna, his brother, Gerald, and his best friend, George (Geo) Hryciuk. Though our hearts are heavy, his legacy of inclusion and kindness lives on in the countless lives he touched.
