Elkford Search and Rescue’s (SAR) recruitment drive is now live, and we’re looking for volunteers to join our team!

Be a part of the crew that heads out when someone doesn’t come home on time. Holiday or weekday, rain or shine, 9 a.m. or 2 a.m. When the call comes in, we go.

Calls can come in at any moment:
• a Missing hiker who took a wrong turn;
• a sledder stranded deep in the back country;
• an injured mountain biker several kilometres from the trail head;
• Or a medical evacuation when minutes matter.

We are the ones hiking through the bush in the dark, trenching through deep snow, taking a helicopter into remote terrain, or coordinating searches through the night to bring someone home.

We train hard, we rely on each other and we show up when the call comes in.
