We are writing to give you a heads up on a very vibrant 91-year old bundle of newly-freed energy named Aleen Arrowsmith, who is joining you out there in the vastness.

Born in Creston, B.C., she lived most of her life in Cranbrook with her husband Bill.

We have to warn you, Universe, there are some deal breakers for this feisty new spark.

There better be a golf course in our solar system that has no water or sand traps. She gets tense and it ruins her swing if she has to get her ball over those damned things.

She loved to dance so hopefully the rings of Saturn can stand up to some high kicks and possibly tap dancing.

And Universe? There better not be any deer out there munching flowers on other planets, as they did in her front yard, because they will NOT be tolerated. She has HAD IT with them.

Occasionally, her energy will be busy checking in on Bill Arrowsmith, her beloved husband of nearly 70 years; son, Ron, and his wife Christy; daughter Lisa and son-in-law, Andrew Penner; grandchildren Brandon and Bryna and their spouses Allanah and Bryan. She also hopes to sprinkle starlight on great grandkids Harvey and Quinn.

A celebration is likely in Spring/Summer 2026.

So, Universe, take our Mum ‘s bright light and let it loose. She will be the beating heart out there as she was to us. Her love, caring and fierce spirit will create a better place as they did on Earth.

All we ask is to see her in the sunset; in the intense blue of the October sky as it was when she left us; and to feel her energy come back to us all when we need her.
