Recruitment period extended for committee volunteers
The City of Cranbrook is inviting residents to play an active role in their community by applying to serve on one of the city’s advisory committees in 2026.
Serving on a committee is a rewarding way to get involved and share your expertise.
The initial recruitment push earlier this fall did not garner enough applications for volunteer positions available with the Cranbrook Public Library Board, or the Key City Theatre Society, which is why the city is extending the application deadline until November 26.
Membership is open to all residents of the City of Cranbrook.
Current opportunities include: Cranbrook Public Library Board; overseeing the operations and governance of the Library under the Library Act. Application details are available at cranbrookpubliclibrary.ca or at cranbrook.ca. Three positions available.
Key City Theatre Society. City council appoints one of the nine directors to the society’s board. The appointee provides regular updates to council on the society’s operations. One position is available.
Terms of reference for all committees and Volunteer Application Forms are available on the city’s website.
Completed applications must be submitted to City Hall (Attention: Kelly Thorsteinson) or by email to [email protected] no later than Wednesday, November 26, at 4 p.m. MT.
