Emergency shelter to be activated
This is to advise that due to the extreme weather forecast by Environment Canada for Cranbrook, wind chill minus 13 in the afternoon, night clearing. -15 the Extreme Weather Response (EWR) shelter will open November 29, as a temporary, emergency shelter space located at 2324 2nd St. (The dwelling Place).
The current weather conditions are expected to be in place for 24 hrs and the EWR shelter will be open during this extreme weather event.

For information on the shelter Ankors-Aids Network Outreach and Society manages or its open times, please contact site coordinator James Kaufman at 250-919-9179. If you see someone in distress or in need of medical assistance, please call 911.
The Emergency Winter shelter will be open 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. beginning Saturday November 29.
The City of Cranbrook extreme winter warming center operated by ANKORS will be open on November 29, 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. November 29, 8-9:30 am at ANKORS space 1324 2ndstreet North, and 9:30 am- 8pm at the dwelling place 2324 2nd.
