Obituary of Ralph WILL
Ralph WILL
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ralph Will. He passed away unexpectedly on December 23 in Fernie, BC.
Ralph was born in Calgary on September 6, 1945, but was brought back to Fernie soon after by his parents, where he remained for the rest of his life.
At a community dance in 1964, Ralph met the love of his life, Lorraine. The two married in 1965 and soon welcomed their two children, Darren and Lori, into the world. Their family grew over the years as many adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren entered their lives.
Ralph always had an entrepreneurial spirit, spending 47 years in the car industry. He owned and operated the Coal Valley GM dealership until he retired in 2017.
But Ralph’s truest passion was curling. Throughout his life, Ralph competed in countless bonspiels and many regional, provincial, and national competitions. It was through this sport that Ralph gained many of his closest friends and most cherished memories.
Ralph was predeceased by his father, Walter, in 2000, and his mother, Josephine, in 2006.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his sister, Bev (Don) and brothers, Bob and Mike (Terry); his son, Darren (Carrie) and daughter, Lori (Kerry); his grandchildren: Mark, Cory, Amanda (Dylan), Brady (Shayla), Kayleigh (Cam), Jaquelyn (Josh), and Connor; and his great-grandchildren: Audrey and Coden. Many more brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other family members carry on his memory in their hearts.
We especially want to thank the care workers who cared for Ralph both in his home and at Rocky Mountain Village.
A formal service will be held at 1:00 on January 9th, 2026, at Cherished Memories Funeral Services.
