Snowflake Festival returns Jan. 18
Invermere’s Snowflake Festival is returning to Kinsmen Beach on Friday, Jan. 18.
Beginning at 6 p.m. and running until 8 p.m., the festival will also be the official 2013 opening of the Lake Windermere WhiteWay, complete with a fireworks show.
Adding to the scenic aura will be the scents of delicious food, part of Taste of the Valley, featuring the following restaurants: Copper Point Resort’s Elements, Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, Quality Bakery, AG’s Chef Hung, Panorama, the Station Pub and more are still to be confirmed). The event will be live-music-soundtracked by local fave band L8.
There will be activities on the ice and on the beach and a children’s warm-up tent with fun activities for the little ones. Try your hand at curling, skating, shiny and stay warm beside a bonfire.
The Snowflake Festival is organized by the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce.
