With the potential for high stream flows, City of Kimberley staff have set up a sandbag station for community use behind Centennial Hall at 100 4th Ave.

Environment and Climate Change Canada is forecasting warmer temperatures and rain across the East Kootenay, which may lead to rapid snowmelt and rising water levels.

Residents in low‑lying or flood‑prone areas are encouraged to prepare now and take preventive measures.
