It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Doug Ife. Doug was born in Trail, BC on July 12, 1937. He moved on early in life to have a career in the army until he met his wife of 67 years Shirley. Doug spent a 27-year career with the City of Cranbrook until he retired. Doug was a loving father and a wonderful husband. He instilled great morals and was a wonderful provider for his family. Doug enjoyed doing home improvement projects, puzzles and colouring to fill his time. He also enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the backyard which he called his happy place.

Doug leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years Shirley, He is also survived by his loving children Tim (Cheryl), Linda (Rob) and son Brian. He also leaves behind a special niece Diane (Dean). Doug was predeceased by his parents and siblings, his loving daughter and caregiver Rhonda and his grandson Michael.
