Dynamiters win Eddie Mountain Division title
The Kimberley Dynamiters are advancing in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) playoffs after defeating Fernie Ghostriders 2-1 last night, to win the Eddie Mountain Division final series four games to one.
Jackson Murphy scored the series clinching goal thanks to a Brayden Schwartz set up as he assisted on both Dynamiter goals before 1,623 onlookers at Kimberley Civic Centre.
Adam Kisilevich made 22 saves, allowing a goal to Liam Breakenridge on the power-play in the second period.
Kael Svenson had a strong performance in the Fernie goal finishing with 43 saves.
The Dynamiters advance to the Kootenay Conference Final to play the winner between the Grand Forks Border Bruins and Beaver Valley Nitehawks.
The Nitehawks currently lead that series three games to two after a 2-0 defeat to the Border Bruins last night.
