Municipal grant program applications due Sept. 1
Local non-profit organizations and community groups in Cranbrook are reminded that the city’s Municipal Grant Program application deadline is set for September 1 and the deadline is strict.
Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted, so applicants are encouraged to plan ahead and submit a complete application package early.
It is the responsibility of each applicant to ensure their application is complete and that all required documents are submitted by the due date. Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
We encourage those applying to:
- Start early so you have time to gather required supporting documents.
- Submit before the deadline to avoid issues with delivery, technical problems, or missing information.
- Double-check your application package to confirm every required item is included.
It is important that applicants be conscious of the limited budget available through our Municipal Grant program, and recognize that council wants to be able to share this funding with as many groups and organizations as possible. Applying for large sums of funding makes this process difficult for council to work through.
For 2026, council approved a total of $124,008 in municipal grants to support community services, arts and culture, recreation, festivals, and other initiatives that benefit residents.

Grant guidelines, eligibility criteria, and application information are available on the city’s website.
Applicants should review the program requirements carefully and ensure their complete application package is delivered to City Hall before September 1.
